Cotswold Lavender provides exquisite Lavender products produced in a family run farm at the heart of Cotswold Hills in England, U.K. The picturesque location above 1,000 feet from sea level gives the Lavender the best growing conditions for the highest quality English Lavender. The crops are steam distilled on the farm and made into the unique Lavender products that you see on this website.
Charlie Byrd, a third generation arable farmer started to diversify his family-run business in 2000 by growing Lavender. He started off by growing 400 hand-planted plants, now he owns around 500,000 plants, totalling more than 100 miles of rows on his 90 acres farmland. This has attracted around 25,000 visitors a year to the farm and selling their finished products to big clients around in U.K. such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, Worcester Cathedral, St. Martins-in-the-fields – Trafalgar Square, Stonehenge and many garden centers. Their success has allowed them to enter their products to America and Germany.
For him, the real satisfaction comes from June onwards ever year when he sees "the even purple rows". The public including tourists from around the world and the locals love them too where the telephone never stops ringing with people asking if the lavender is in flower.
All products have passed the European Commission Cosmetic Regulation Framework ensuring that each product undergoes an expert scientific safety assessment before they are sold. You can therefore be assured that the distinctive aromatic Lavender scent that is released in each one of the products is safe to use around your home or on your skin. They are not animal tested either, which is extremely important for Charlie.
